Job Description:

We are having an urgent opening for the position of  Systems Engineer for a reputed Company at the Pune ( Hadapsar) location.

Job Description: 

Design, implement and support the IT systems and infrastructure for our global enterprise spanning 60+ remote locations, data centers and cloud data centers.  Monitor the environment to ensure the technology used by OIA’s global staff is secure, stable, efficient, reliable, and modern.  Engage with vendors and stakeholders to gather requirements, build roadmaps, manage budgets, and leverage metrics to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaboration with stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders, such as developers, business analysts, project managers, and senior management, to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions and liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution?
  • Communication and Visibility:  Prepare project plans, maintain roadmaps and budgets with regular updates to leadership and business stakeholders.  Participate in Team Project Management meetings and ceremonies.
  • Risk Mitigation:  Design, document, implement and participate in the testing of disaster recovery procedures?? 
  • Documentation and reporting: Document system configurations, including flowcharts and diagrams, system changes, and issues, as well as standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Performance Monitoring:  Define technical metrics, establish baseline performance expectations and report on the overall health of systems
  • Testing and quality assurance: Create and implement plans that test IT systems and infrastructure to ensure they meet quality standards and function as intended
  • Continuous improvement: Identify areas for improvement in IT systems and infrastructure and implement changes to improve their performance, efficiency, and reliability and reduce human intervention.  Research new technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Design and implementation: Design and implement IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to support business operations and ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure functionality through complex evaluation
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting: Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade IT systems and infrastructure to ensure they function optimally and are available to users, including off-hours and weekend maintenance and as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation.  Act as a point of escalation for complex problem resolution. 
  • Security and compliance: Ensure that IT systems and infrastructure are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and industry standards via security best practices, backup, and redundancy strategies 
  • Leadership:  Provide technical leadership and training to other team members  
  • Design, document, implement operating systems, physical and virtual servers, storage, and backup within physical or cloud data centers
  • Act as point of escalation and overflow for IT administrator duties and responsibilities.

Mode of Work - This is hybrid mode (3 days office in Pune, 2 days can be remote).

Core Skills :

  • BE/B. Tech./BCA/MCA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, or four years’ progressively increasing responsibilities in an IT Infrastructure role.

  • Exposure to hybrid cloud integrations
  • Basic PowerShell scripting skills
  • Minimum of one of the following Industry Certifications desired: O365, MCSA/E, CCNA.
  • Windows/Linux administration
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Window domains and file permissions structure.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance Windows 2012 servers and/or newer.
  • Group Policy design, configuration Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration.
  • Experience in an Azure Active Directory (AAD) environment.
  • Administration experience in Office 365 and Azure.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, ability to configure, secure, install, update, troubleshoot, and apply patches when required

Candidates Profile:

  • 1 or more years managing and monitoring IaaS or PaaS in the public cloud.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, or equivalent experience 
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
  • 3+ years of experience administering VMWare and/or Hyper-V.
  • 5+ years of experience administering Windows Servers.
