Billing & Estimation Engineer

Job Description:

The Billing & Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing precise cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, managing quantities, and executing client/vendor billing. This role bridges the gap between project planning and financial execution, ensuring accuracy in project costing and timely bill settlements specifically for PEB and civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimation & Costing

• Quantify material, labor, and equipment requirements from structural drawings, tender documents, and PEB fabrication designs.
• Prepare comprehensive Cost Estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and Rate Analysis for bidding and ongoing projects.
• Source and analyze vendor quotes for raw materials (such as structural steel, sheeting, and hardware) to ensure cost optimization.

2. Billing & Quantity Surveying

• Prepare accurate Client Bills (Running Account / RA Bills) and process subcontractor/vendor invoices based on actual on-site measurements and milestones.
• Conduct joint measurements at construction sites to verify work execution against approved drawings.
• Maintain a detailed tracking log of all variations, extra items, and deviations from the original scope, preparing rate approvals for the same.

3. Documentation & Reconciliation

• Perform material reconciliation (steel, concrete, sheeting) regularly to identify and minimize wastage.
• Maintain precise records of certified bills, payment receipts, measurement sheets, and structural change orders.
• Coordinate tightly with the Project Management, Design, and Procurement teams to ensure financial transparency.

Candidate Profile & Preferences

• Technical Domain: Strong foundational knowledge of civil construction processes, structural steel, or Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) layout components.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas), AutoCAD, and estimation tools.
• Joining Timeline: Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are highly preferred.
• Geographic Flexibility: Candidates must currently reside in Pune or be fully willing to relocate and commute daily to the Kharadi, Pune office

Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering (Preferred)
