Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage all civil engineering projects and operations within the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies for civil engineering projects, ensuring successful execution from planning to completion.
  • Supervise and guide project managers, engineers, and other technical staff to meet project goals and timelines.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and safety within the civil engineering teams.

• Project Management & Delivery

  • Oversee multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Review and approve project plans, designs, and cost estimates to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Coordinate resources, timelines, and procurement for various projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.
  • Monitor the progress of each project and resolve any issues or delays proactively.
  • Contract-related communications such as Extension of Time, Change of Scope, Project Completion Certificates, Land Acquisition, Settlement Agreements, etc. for HAM and EPC Agreements.
  • Assisting and providing inputs for dispute-related activities such as conciliations and arbitrations.

• Strategic Planning & Procurement 

  • Develop long-term strategies for business growth in the civil engineering domain, including new markets and partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company’s portfolio of civil engineering projects.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure continued business success and repeat business.

• Financial & Operational Management

  • Oversee the financial aspects of civil engineering projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Implement best practices in procurement, resource allocation, and project execution to ensure efficient use of resources and cost savings.
  • Ensure that all projects meet safety, legal, and environmental regulations.

• Compliance & Quality Control

  • Ensure all civil engineering projects comply with national and local construction codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control processes throughout the lifecycle of projects.
  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies and clients to ensure projects meet all relevant legal and technical requirements.

• Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on project progress, financial status, and key performance indicators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other business partners.

• Crisis & Risk Management

  • Proactively identify potential risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage any crises or emergencies that may arise on-site, ensuring the safety of workers and compliance with regulations.

Key Qualifications

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or higher (e.g., MBA, MEng) is preferred but not required / LLB.
