Job Description:

We have an urgent opening for the post of Purchase Manager for a reputed Company at Navi Mumbai(Turbhe).

 

Job Details:

  • Result oriented with proven success in in the areas of Global & Local sourcing, Materials procurement, Vendor development.
  • Works closely with key stakeholders to develop effective sourcing strategies and ensure implementation including negotiation and execution of supply agreements and contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand their purchase requirements, create inquiries, and solicit RFQs from vendors.
  • Closely work with Quality & Supply Chain team for procurement
  • Analyze supplier quotes, negotiate terms including quality, price, payment terms, and delivery lead time, ensuring optimal supplier selection and fostering new vendor development.
  • Possess expertise in procurement with a thorough understanding of supply markets, trends, cost drivers, and a business understanding of Pharma, Life Science & Diagnostics Industry.
  • Ensure supplies are received, bringing value to the organization in terms of cost, quality, and time for both domestic and export markets.
  • Release purchase orders, monitor all POs through reports, and ensure timely delivery of products and services while overseeing correct and timely invoice submissions by vendors.
  • Resolve discrepancies during the P2P process immediately, coordinating with respective stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Finance to submit vendor invoices, resolve discrepancies, and track payments.
  • Drive the execution of critical tactical activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and procedures, maintaining accurate purchasing records in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Nurture effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support functional priorities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, stakeholder management, communication skills, and time management. Handle escalations with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communicate with Inter Company for timely sourcing of inventory.
  • Adhere to internal control and policy, aligning with the approval matrix.
  • Prepare ordering plans and various reports, submitting them on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers/vendors, and the factory for a smooth workflow.
  • Possess hands-on experience in capital purchases.
  • Maintain and update the e-Procurement computerized system, preparing status reports weekly and monthly.
  • Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage receiving details and implement corrective actions for dispute resolution.
  • Strong command over written and verbal communication in English, along with analytical skills and exposure to advanced Excel.
  • Permanent resident of Mumbai with accommodation.

 

Education & Skill Requirements:

  • M. Sc. (Chemistry) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 9-10 years of experience in life science, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, API, in mid or mid/big companies.
  • Strong command over written and verbal communication in English, analytical skills, and exposure to advanced Excel.
  • Permanent resident of Mumbai with accommodation.
  • Ability to ask insightful questions, justify queries raised by management, set goals, and develop action plans.
  • Timely delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Understanding of quotations and purchase orders.
  • Proficient in working with the company's designed systems.
  • Experience in the use of ERPs, especially Tally Prime & Infor M3.
