Senior Manager Accounting & Finance -Manufacturing Industry

Job Description:

Strategic

• Develop robust financial accounting and cost accounting systems so as to provide timely, accurate and consistent inputs for management reporting as per GAAP
• Develop and implement self balancing internal control systems and checks

Operational and Financial

• Oversee the effective implementation of basic accounting systems such as payables, bill passing, reconciliation, preparation of vouchers, book keeping entries into the respective ledgers etc. in line with the accounting standards and organizational guidelines
• Provide inputs to the annual and long-term budgeting and financial planning process to ensure efficient use of the capital
• Direct and ensure effective cash flow management in alignment to the organizational guidelines. Suggest corrective actions in case of process deviations and escalate issues to the General Manager – F & A in a timely manner
• Provide inputs to Regional Accounts Team to ensure timely clearances of vendors payments
• Monitor and guide the sales accounts for timely closure of sale and recoveries
• Provide inputs to the Contracts Team to reconcile the bills raised by the contractors and ensure timely payments as per the preset contractual conditions.
• Coordinate with internal auditors to ensure timely submission and review of internal audit reports.

• Ensure that the department is adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements

Conduct performance appraisals on departmental staff / personnel. Assess and fulfil training and career development requirements
