Position Overview
We are a premier company primarily engaged in the Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) sector. We are seeking a dynamic and technically sound Purchase Engineer to manage end-to-end procurement activities for our civil, structural, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, negotiating costs, and ensuring timely deliveries to maintain project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Procurement: Source and procure building materials, structural steel, roofing, sheeting, and other consumables essential for PEB and civil infrastructure projects.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and subcontractors. Maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiation & Costing: Invite quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate competitive pricing and commercial terms without compromising quality.
- Purchase Orders (PO): Raise accurate Purchase Orders and work orders in alignment with project timelines and technical specifications.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate closely with site engineers and logistics teams to track material dispatches and ensure timely delivery to the site.
- Quality & Verification: Ensure received materials comply with the approved technical standards, bills of quantities (BOQ), and quality certifications.
- Billing & Documentation: Verify vendor invoices against material receipts (MGRN) and coordinate with the finance team for timely vendor payments.
Candidate Profile & Preferences
- Industry Experience: Direct procurement experience within the PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings), Civil Construction, or Infrastructure sectors is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of civil building materials, structural steel components, and PEB engineering requirements.
- Location Comfort: Candidates must currently reside in Pune or be fully willing to relocate and work out of our office in Kharadi, Pune.
- Joining Timeline: Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be given strong preference.
Experience: 1–4 Years
Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
