The Purchase Head will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities across all construction projects, including planning, sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, inventory control, and cost optimization. The role ensures timely availability of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining quality standards and budget control.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Manage end-to-end procurement for all ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
2. Prepare procurement plans aligned with project timelines and ensure timely material availability.
3. Procure construction materials including steel, cement, RMC, aggregates, MEP items, finishing materials, and equipment.
4. Develop, evaluate, and manage vendors to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
5. Lead negotiations and finalize contracts, rate agreements, and purchase orders.
6. Implement cost control measures and achieve savings through strategic sourcing and value engineering.
7. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site stores for stock control and reconciliation.
8. Verify vendor bills, manage billing reconciliation, and coordinate with accounts for payments.
9. Work closely with project teams, engineers, and QS for procurement alignment and execution support.
10. Track market trends, pricing, and identify new materials and cost-effective alternatives.
11. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, documentation, and audit requirements.
12. Lead and manage the purchase team, set KPIs, and report procurement performance to management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Experience: 12–15 years in construction procurement, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Education: Graduate in Civil/Construction Management; MBA preferred.
• Skills: Vendor management, negotiation, cost control, ERP/SAP, team leadership, and construction materials knowledge.
