Electrical Design Draftsman, Thane
Job Description:
The Electrical Design Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation based on project requirements and engineering inputs. The role involves drafting electrical systems for commercial, industrial, hospitality, and infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, client specifications, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD or relevant drafting software.
- Develop:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Wiring diagrams
- Cable routing layouts
- Panel GA drawings
- Electrical schematics
- Shop drawings
- As-built drawings
- Coordinate with design engineers, project teams, and site teams for drawing updates and revisions.
- Review tender drawings and specifications before preparing detailed drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards, electrical codes, and client requirements.
- Maintain proper revision control and drawing documentation.
- Prepare BOQ support drawings and quantity references wherever required.
- Modify drawings based on site conditions and client comments.
- Support commissioning and execution teams with technical drawing clarifications.
- Maintain drawing records and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
- Coordinate with other disciplines such as HVAC, BMS, LMS, Fire Alarm, IBMS, and Architecture for clash-free layouts.
- Prepare final as-built documentation after project completion.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and engineering standards.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical specifications.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
Educational Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Draftsman Course.
- Additional certification in AutoCAD will be preferred.
Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in electrical drafting and design coordination.
- Experience in commercial, hospitality, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred.
