Sales Manager - Surfactant & Speciality Chemical - Ambarnath
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the surfactants and specialty chemicals segment
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across target industries
- Manage and grow relationships with key clients and distributors
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers in coordination with internal teams
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with clients
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and MIS on a regular basis
- Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and marketing teams for product positioning and customer solutions
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 6–12 years of experience in sales of surfactants, specialty chemicals, or related products
- Strong understanding of applications in personal care, home care, or industrial sectors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business development
- Willingness to travel as required
- Marketing of Surfactant & Specialty Chemicals in home & personal care industries. To define the market, understand the customer requirements, and provide solutions.
- Create a new customer base along with maintaining the current market.
- Proactive and ability to develop and implement a marketing strategy (often as part of a wider sales and marketing program)
- Track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare weekly or monthly reports for management
