Responsibilities
- Planning: Create production schedules, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual schedules
- Resource management: Manage equipment, facilities, and inventory
- Quality control: Set and enforce quality standards, and monitor product quality
- Safety: Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
- Cost management: Estimate costs, negotiate budgets, and reduce expenses
- Communication: Liaise with other departments and teams, and communicate with senior management
- Training: Train and coach factory operators and sorters
- Team leadership: Motivate, support, and guide production staff
- Problem solving: Identify and address issues that may impact production
- Equipment maintenance: Ensure that equipment is maintained and repaired
