Quality Control Manager- Manufacturing industry- (Mumbai Vasai (East))
Job Description:
We are having an opening for the position of Quality Control Manager with one of our very reputed clients in the Mumbai Vasai (East) location.
Position Overview:
The Manager – Quality Control is a critical leadership role at Lisha Switches, responsible for ensuring that our products, especially our electrical switches, meet stringent quality standards across all stages of production. This mid-level management position reports directly to the Managing Director and will oversee the quality control department, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves close collaboration with production, engineering, R&D, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and implement robust quality systems that enhance overall product reliability and customer satisfaction
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Systems Development:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control policies, procedures, and systems in line with ISO and industry-specific standards which is BIS.
- Testing & Inspection of Electrical Switches:
Establish and oversee specialized testing protocols and inspection procedures tailored for electrical switches, sockets, plug tops and accessories ensuring that each product complies with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Regularly review and update testing procedures to incorporate advances in technology and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with the engineering
- Inspection and Testing Oversight:
Supervise regular product inspections, in-process testing, and final quality evaluations across all product lines, with a focused emphasis on electrical switches. - Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage the quality control team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement:
Analyze production processes and quality data to identify improvement opportunities; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to minimize defects and enhance operational efficiency prepare appropriate Jigs for assembly and moulding processes. - Compliance & Audit Management:
Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and industry best practices; coordinate and manage internal and external quality audits and inspections. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and procurement teams to troubleshoot quality issues, implement process improvements, and support product innovation in coordination with the mould making team. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed quality records, compile performance metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management review of the company as well as exclusive production vendors. - Customer Complaint Resolution:
Investigate and address product quality complaints promptly, ensuring effective resolution and continuous feedback integration and maintain complaint records and accordingly upgrade testing procedures.
Skills & Competencies:
- Extensive experience in quality control within the electrical switches industry or very closely related electrical products.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry-specific quality standards.
- Expertise in quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, 5S).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing quality control teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective cross-department collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain testing protocols for electrical switches.
- Sound knowledge of polycarbonate materials and their application in manufacturing electrical switches.
Candidate Profile:
- Age: 30–40 years.
- Education:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering is mandatory. Advanced certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) are a plus. - Experience:
7–10 years in quality control or quality assurance roles within the manufacturing sector, specifically in electrical switches or closely related electrical products.
Experience with polycarbonate materials in product manufacturing is highly desirable. - Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated success in leading quality control teams and driving process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
