Job Description:

We are having an urgent opening for the position of Project Manager for a reputed company in Manufacturing Industry at Navi Mumbai (Mahape) location.


Key Responsibilities: Construction

  • Development Planning: You would be responsible for collaborating with the development manager company to create a comprehensive development plan. This includes defining project objectives, identifying target markets, conducting feasibility studies, and developing a strategic approach to meet the developer's goals.
  • Budget and Financial Management: You would work closely with the development manager company to establish project budgets and financial plans. This includes conducting financial analysis, monitoring costs, managing cash flows, and ensuring adherence to the developer's financial objectives throughout the project.
  • Project coordination: You would oversee the coordination and integration of various project activities, including design, permitting, construction, and marketing. This involves working closely with the development manager and coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of the development plan.
  • Contract and Vendor Management: You would be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts with consultants, contractors, and vendors on behalf of the developer. This includes ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, managing contract deliverables, and resolving any contractual issues or disputes that may arise during the development process.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effective communication and stakeholder management are crucial in this role. You would interact with various stakeholders such as investors, local authorities, community members, and potential buyers. This includes providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations to maintain positive relationships and ensure project success.
  • Risk Management: You would identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the development process. This includes conducting risk assessments, implementing risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You would also work closely with the development manager company to address any unforeseen challenges or changes in the project scope.
  • Quality Control: You would oversee the implementation of quality control processes to ensure that the development meets the desired standards and specifications set by the developer. This includes conducting regular inspections, reviewing design and construction documentation, and coordinating with the development manager company to address any quality-related issues.
  • Project Reporting: You would be responsible for providing regular progress reports and updates to the developer. This includes preparing project documentation, financial reports, and other relevant information to keep the developer informed about the project's status and performance.

Overall, as a project manager, your role would require strong leadership, negotiation, and coordination skills. You would be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development process, ensuring the successful completion of projects while meeting the developer's objectives, and maintaining effective communication between all stakeholders involved.

Candidate's profile:

  • Construction and engineering experience with a minimum of ‘15 years’ for graduate level.
  • Logistic and Warehousing project experience (for a minimum duration of ‘8 years’), essential construction management, or senior engineer-level experience on large-scale logistic and warehousing projects. Must have supervised full-cycle construction and commissioning for a typical A-grade warehouse development.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering) from a reputable institution preferred.
  • Must have undergone a full cycle of construction (concept to commissioning) of an A-grade logistic and warehouse development project.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, supervise, and administer the onsite construction execution of all construction activities of the project.
  • Ability to communicate (including formal communication) and coordinate.
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers and supervisors.
  • Ability to prepare short-range programs and resource requirements.
  • Ability to provide a quick estimate for alternate design solutions.
  • Ability to prepare inspection test plans and quality plans and enforce them on site.
  • Hands-on experience managing construction activities.
